How to Escalate Your Case
1. Use the Right Category
Algorithms triage based on what you select. If an account is impersonating you, choose "Impersonation", not "Harassment." Impersonation requests are often escalated to human reviewers faster because identity verification requires document checks.
2. Report Multiple Offenses, Separately
Do not just report the account once. Have yourself and several trusted friends independently report specific violating posts, comments, and the main profile. Volume signals severity to the automated systems.
3. Use the Appeals Process
If your initial report is denied, immediately hit the "Appeal" button. The first line of defense is a bot; appeals are much more frequently reviewed by human content moderators.
4. External Escalation Channels
If the platform ignores severe harassment, consider filling out forms specific to safety organizations or, if applicable, involving School Administration Title IX coordinators or local law enforcement, who have dedicated portals to subpoena records from tech companies.
